Robert Blake Science College is a vibrant and exciting school where we place students at the heart of learning. The school is in an exciting time of change having moved in to a brand new building in November 2012 and a new headteacher in post for September 2013. As a result the school is ‘well placed to improve quickly’. (Ofsted 2013).
We are an inclusive school seeking to serve the community in which we are placed.
The school functions on a day to day basis on clear and unshakeable values which promote respect, fairness, honesty and taking responsibility. There is a clear vision for the school and a determination to raise the aspiration and achievement of all students. There is a strong sense of moral purpose to what we do and all those that work at Robert Blake Science College are committed to working with the students to improve both academic and personal outcomes.
We are very proud of our young people and believe that they are fantastic ambassadors for the schools. Student behave well and are polite and courteous. Students are encouraged to engage in rich learning experiences both in and outside the classroom. We promote innovation from our students and have a strong curriculum and extra-curricular offer which presents students with life changing opportunities and builds the skills and qualities that they need to be successful learners now and in the future. Our students appearance on BBC Breakfast in March was an example of this.
Please do take the time to look at our website and if you would like to know more about the school or wish to visit then please do contact us.
